What is a Slot Machine?
A slot in a machine is a position where a token can be inserted or removed. When the token is inserted into a slot, it activates the reels and causes the symbols to be replaced with new ones in an attempt to form a winning combination. In some cases, a bonus game may be initiated and players can win additional cash or free spins.

In addition to reducing operator effort, skill stop buttons also reduce the amount of time that the machine is unable to pay out a jackpot or other major prize.
